Design Philosophy

Our focus is and will always be the customer. We focus on your needs as a business, and on your customers needs as the de-facto end user. We provide complete web site solutions for your emerging business that connect you and your customers.

Design Elements

There are three main elements that are needed for a good customer experience: simplicity, clarity and ease of use. In the sections below we touch on what makes each one important, and how we use these guidelines to create web sites.

Simplicity

For a site to be successful in providing information to the end user, your customer, it needs to be simple.

Many sites will cram tons of information onto a single page, and their users will start to suffer from information overload. We know that when a user visits your site it is because they are interested in information you are providing or products you are selling. Each page we design is created with a specific purpose in mind, and then the site is laid out in the most logical way possible.

We work hard to keep our designs simple because that is the most effective way to reach a customer and keep your business growing.

Clarity

Having clear goals will give you a site that any user can figure out instantly. It is not uncommon to find a site that doesn't have clear goals, and without goals it is easy to end up with a confusing and frustrating web site.

Each page we design will be constructed around a particular goal. Whether it is to provide information about a new product or to help your user submit a request for information, we will work hard to make sure that they find what they are looking for quickly and with the least amount of frustration.

Ease of Use

Have you ever visited a page where you couldn't tell where a link went without clicking on it? How about a site that didn't give you a clear path back to where you came from? Users need to know where to go and how to get back.

Your mom can only navigate the web because everything works the way she is expecting it to... if she ends up on a page where there are a bunch of floating bubble links with nifty spinning graphics that lead to new pages she's probably not going to know what to do, and neither will half the other visitors to that page. People need an easy to use, consistent interface. Links should underline, menus should look like menus and the back button should work!

We design carefully to keep our web sites within the average user's experience. We make menus that look like menus, we underline our links and we don't break out of the window that the user opened our site in. We don't use pop-ups unless absolutely necessary and we don't ever open new windows that the users aren't expecting.

We keep our sites easy to use, and that pays off when the user can use your page as easily on the first visit as the hundredth.

Good Design

Simple looks good, it's as simple as that. How many times have you visited a page and wished that you could find the article you were looking for? How often have you turned to another source because you couldn't find what you were looking for right away and someone had a solution you didn't have to search through page after page to find the information you need? We design with a straight forward design approach. We use small attractive graphics and color schemes that look good with your company logo. The page is lain out in the most logical way possible, and the user finds what they are looking for with minimal distraction.
